There are a few steps to being a lucky winner, and the national online and satellite broadcaster is rolling them out in three phases.

Here’s everything you need to know to participate in the SiriusXM Music Town contest:

How do you nominate your town?

Canadians can nominate their town by going to siriusxm.ca/musictown and filling the online form where you can enter your name, email, location and then tell folks what is about your town that makes it a music town. The directions note that “the more you tell us about your town, the better your chances of winning the biggest concert your town has ever had!”

Nominations are open until Oct. 5, at 8:59 p.m.

When does the rallying and voting begin?

Following the nominations, eight finalist towns will be announced on Oct. 14. Then the fun of rallying around your town by pumping it up across social media kicks off. “Every vote, post, share, like, and comment will count toward the ultimate concert!”
