My client, Kalia, was attending a family wedding and wanted a colour refresh for the occasion.
Kalia has long, dark-blond and medium-density hair. It hadn’t been highlighted in more than a year and she was ready to brighten up her colour. I applied “foilyage” highlights throughout her hair and incorporated “teasy-lights,” a technique where a section of the hair is backcombed before lightener is applied, creating a softer, more natural-looking transition between the root colour and highlights.
We cleansed her hair with Oribe Bright Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner, then layered the mid-lengths and ends with Oribe Supershine Moisturizing Cream. I trimmed a few inches from her length and reshaped her layers, creating softness and movement to her golden locks.
Before styling, I applied some KMS Styling Foam for long-lasting style and hold, then blow dried her hair with a round brush. I finished the look using a curling wand to create soft tousled waves.
Makeup:
I love the soft and natural look I created for Kalia. We used concealer and a foundation stick to balance out her complexion and brighten under her eyes. I lightly dusted her face with bronzer and brightened her cheeks with a hint powder peachy-pink blush. To create a dewy look, I layered on a bit of cream blush by gently dabbing it onto the high points of the cheeks and into the temple. I used a cream shadow to dress the eyes and contoured with bronzer for a more natural look. I coated her lashes with black mascara and finished with lip oil.

Eyeshadow: MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre
