What to know: There’s a lot of buzz around Hailey Rhode Bieber’s beauty brand Rhode.
From its Peptide Lip Treatment to the buzzy Pocket Blush, shoppers seem keen to add the star’s cosmetic and skin-care products to their collections.
In fact, the brand was trending on Google recently as shoppers searched to confirm the launch date for Rhode at Sephora stores and online across Canada. Turns out, that searched-for answer is ‘now’.
Until recently, the product had been available to Canadian shoppers online only through the brand’s e-commerce site. But Sephora locations across Canada, and online at Sephora.com, now stock a full assortment of Bieber’s beauty line.
In a statement to Postmedia News, Bieber said she’s “excited” to see the brand launch across the country.
“I’m excited to give our Canadian community the ability to experience the brand in real life for themselves,” Bieber said, adding the beauty retailer is the “perfect partner” to do so.
Accessibility, the brand founder (and wife of Canadian superstar Justin Bieber) says, has always been a consideration for her product lineup.
“When I started Rhode, it was a priority to make our products accessible, meeting our community wherever and however they prefer to shop,” Bieber says.
She had previously remarked the brand was an extension of her interest in the industry.
“I really do feel like I found such a passion, specifically, with doing skin care. And with Rhode and with this brand,” she said in a 2023 interview with Postmedia. “I am so passionate about maintaining my skin and keeping myself healthy, keeping my skin healthy, that I just felt like that was where my passion was.”
In May, Bieber made headlines with the brand when it was announced that Rhode, which she had founded in 2022, had been sold for $1 billion to e.l.f. Beauty. She continues as the brand’s chief creative officer and head of Innovation at Rhode, as well as a strategic adviser to e.l.f. Beauty.
