Sofia Camara is a rising Canadian singer-songwriter who boasts a following of more than one million fans on TikTok alone.
The Toronto-based artist also happens to have a very cool sense of personal style.
Camara joined five other emerging artists for a fall fashion campaign called Canadian Voices, Individual Style with homegrown brand RW&CO. Camara joins fellow artist Alicia Moffet, Preston Pablo, Geoffrey, Owen Riegling and Kalsey Kulyk in the campaign. The fall release will be paired with a soundtrack featuring the artists, to be played in RW&CO. stores across the country.

Q: How would you describe your personal style?
A: Honestly, kind of a mix depending on my mood. Some days I’m all about laid back comfort oversized tees, hoodies, and sneakers but I also love a clean, minimal look with good structure when I go out. I’d say it’s somewhere between effortless and intentional, if that makes sense.
Q: Are there any style icons that you look up to?
A: I’d have to say somewhere between Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa’s street style. I feel like somewhere in the middle with their style. Someone who I also have admired is Teyana Taylor. She has crazy outfits that I wish I could pull off but absolutely love how she always switches it up.
Q: What is the most MVP piece in your closet?
A: Probably a leather jacket. I can throw it over literally anything and it can always take a casual outfit to the next level with the right accessories. It always makes me feel more confident even on days when I’m just wearing a hoodie and baggy pants I feel like I don’t even have to put much thought into my outfit.
Q: What trends are you looking to lean into this fall?
A: I really love a long trench or coat. I don’t own any but I absolutely love how anyone can pull it off with any outfit. I feel like it’s the perfect thing to layer on an outfit. I have also been slightly obsessed with boot cut jeans. Not sure how everyone else feels about that in the fall, but I’m all about it. You can also never go wrong with an oversized blazer.

Q: Are there any styles or single pieces that you’re most excited to try this season?
A: I don’t think I’ve ever really owned a scarf. I think it’s something I would want to add my style because it’s something that I feel like is so minimal but can make such a difference. Also beanies … not sure if they are still really cool, but I’m definitely wanting to add that in my closet again. I’d also love to add more button-ups because I feel like they can be dressed up and dressed down to fit any look.
