We try dozens of beauty products each month. These were our testers’ three favourite launches this week:

Peter Thomas Roth Instant FIRMx Collagen Bounce Stick. Handout/

Peter Thomas Roth Instant FIRMx Collagen Bounce Stick

They say: A skin balm stick that boasts some beauty product properties, these balms feature a 10 per cent collagen complex, along with hyaluronic acid and a Matrixyl 3000 Peptide to plump skin while pigment adds a subtle slick of colour.

We say: These multipurpose balms — they are suitable for lips, cheeks and eyes — are a perfect pick for a no-makeup-makeup look. Our tester found the stick balm instantly hydrated skin and a slight glossy effect. They are a perfect pick for mid-day pick me ups of dry skin or even post flight when skin is extra parched.

Glow Recipe Prickly Pear Mucin.

Glow Recipe Prickly Pear Mucin

They say: A vegan alternative to the trending snail mucin products, this serum sees prickly pear cactus and a bio-active peptide subbed in for the mollusk mucin. In addition to improving the skin’s barrier, the serum promises to provide a “smoother, pore-refined” appearance.

We say: Don’t let all the videos on social media full you — this face serum isn’t as sticky as they all claim. Instead, it packs a seriously hydrating punch and a nice glass skin-like glow, without leaving skin feeling sticky or slimy. In a word, it’s wonderful.

Dior Miss Dior Essence.

Dior Miss Dior Essence

They say: The latest fragrance in the Miss Dior collection, this essence de perfume features top notes of elderflower and blackberry, a heart of jasmine (a scent thread that dates back to 1947), and base notes of oak. Created by Dior Perfume creative director Francis Kurkdjian, the fragrance is bold yet “hyper-feminine,” according to the brand.

We say: If you love blackberry, you’re going to fall fast and hard for this French perfume release. Anchored by the woody base and floral scent, the fragrance is sweet and jammy while also being wonderfully warm.
