Live from Sundays’ Get Together sofa, it’s my review — as I don’t want to get up from this dreamy, comfy and supportive cloud-like couch.
I don’t take sofa testing lightly, as it’s a big purchase, in terms of size, cost and impact on your living space. I’ve been testing the Get Together sofa for over a month to understand its comfort, durability, look and feel.
The Get Together sofa is a popular choice from Canadian company Sundays. The brand was founded in 2019 in Vancouver by four friends who wanted to make furniture shopping as easy as Sunday morning. It’s an e-commerce first company with a few showrooms across Canada and the U.S. The site does a great job of illustrating the look, size and feel of the furniture, and you can get free fabric swatches, but I happen to live near one of the showrooms, so I sauntered on over to see the sofa in person before selecting which Get Together I was going to select.
The Get Together is modular, meaning you configure (and reconfigure) the pieces to perfectly fit your space. I selected a three-seater sofa with an ottoman. The sofa comes in six neutral colours. I went with Cream Linen, which is a light cream shade. Though this is the option I was leaning towards, the friendly, knowledgeable and talented team at the Sundays Ossington showroom in Toronto also recommended the same selection, so I was confident in the order.
Before deciding whether the Get Together sofa is right for you, I suggest reading my review below. If you’re considering Sundays’ Movie Night Sofa, we also have a review of that couch.

Sundays Get Together 3-Piece Modular Sofa review
Delivery: When my sofa was ready, which took a couple of weeks after ordering it, the delivery company that Sundays uses contacted me to find a date and time that would work for me. On the day of delivery, I received messages to let me know when they were close. Two men delivered all the boxes to my unit to get ready for assembly. I had already removed the previous couch before delivery (specifically, the Gaia sofa from Cozey — read my review).
Assembly: The delivery team unboxed each module of the sofa and fully assembled it. However, they assembled it off-centred on the rug that was laid out. I asked them to centre on the rug, and one of the men seemed to be annoyed with the request. They centred it, but I felt like I was asking a huge favour. They collapsed the boxes and took them to the recycling room. It was an overall smooth delivery and assembly — especially because I didn’t have to do any of it.
Favourite features: Appearance, luxuriousness, durability
Appearance: I love the way the Get Together looks, as it’s modern and sleek, but so welcoming. My home has been described as “cold” because there’s a lot of white and harsh lighting. Considering the Get Together colour I selected is not not white, it’s incredible how warm and inviting it looks. I adorned the sofa with colourful knit pillows from Annie Selke to bring together the hues from the carpet, paintings and other surrounding highlights. The Get Together sofa doesn’t steal attention from art and other decor items, but it provides an inviting canvas to build and sit on.
Luxuriousness: The Get Together sofa looks luxe, but you get the full impression as soon as you sit or lie down. If the couch had a sound, it would be “ahhh.” You can feel the quality in both the fabric and pillow materials — they’re soft, comfy and supportive. That balance between soft and supportive seems to be a pricey endeavour, as I’ve tested many sofas, and the Get Together is by far the best at this — it’s also one of the most expensive couches I’ve tried. The sofa doesn’t scream “fancy,” but it feels its price.
Durability: If you’re investing in the Get Together, know you’ll have it for a long time. As long as you care for it as directed (see below in the specifications), it will remain in good condition. When it comes to day-to-day durability, the sofa cushions don’t need fluffing after you get off the couch. Sometimes, with fluffier cushions, there’s an obvious dent where people sit — the Get Together doesn’t get a significant indentation. As mentioned, the sofa does a fantastic job of balancing softness and support.
The fabric is also as advertised — spill-resistant and ready to be sat, laid and eaten on. Though I was planning on intentionally testing the spill-resistant-ness of the fabric, I did it unintentionally. I watered a nearby plant, and the water and soil splattered all over the side of the sofa. I wiped it away with a dry towel, and it was as good as new. The Get Together looks beautiful and is designed to stand whatever life, or plant parents, throw at it.

Least favourite features: Colour selection, ottoman-sofa attachment
Colour selection: The sofa comes in six beautiful colours, so I shouldn’t be complaining. But they are all so neutral. I’m sure that’s the vibe of the brand, plus the most popular colours, but what if I want a bold statement piece or a dark hue?
Ottoman-sofa attachment: You have the option to attach the ottoman to the sofa or keep it separate. I opted to keep it separate, so I can move it based on the needs of the people I’m hosting. It’s a bit finicky to align the ottoman and sofa attachments.
Recommendation
I love my Get Together sofa. It’s comfortable, looks luxe and is built to last — it’s representative of its cost. Sundays is not necessarily making “starter sofas” for those moving into their first home, or for students. Sundays’ furniture seems to be looking for its forever home.
Specifically, the Get Together is a fantastic option for many spaces as its base size is big, but not huge — there’s lots of room to splay out dramatically. I’m happy with it in my small downtown Toronto condo. It’s durable and doesn’t require fluffing, great for a heavy-traffic area. The fabric feels durable and is up to spills — ready for kids, pets and TV dinners.
Overall, I recommend the Get Together to anyone who feels as comfortable with the price as they’d feel sitting on the sofa. It’s a wonderful couch and I’m excited to enjoy it for years to come.
