If you’re looking to give your bronzy-gold and warm-brown eyeshadows a break for your upcoming summer event, try hues of blue instead. The key is to stick to one shade and be intentional with the application, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming or harsh.

Face

I started with a sheer and natural summer complexion, layered with a hint of bronzer all over the face can make a great impact.

Eyes

This is where the statement piece comes in. Using About Face Shadow Stick in Creature, I drew a line onto the entire eyelid and gently blended it in with my finger. For a clean and polished look, it’s important to avoid going beyond the crease of the eyelid. I then tight lined the upper lash line using Smashbox Always Sharp Longwearing Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner Pencil in French Navy, to really define the eyes. I curled my lashes and coated the with black mascara and filled in my brow for more impact.

Blush and lips
