For a band that appeared to be down for the count, Linkin Park has returned to recording and performing with a renewed sense of purpose.
The From Zero World Tour added 50-plus dates to its schedule, and the band of Mike Shinoda, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, Joe Hahn, Colin Brittain and new vocalist Emily Armstrong has been getting great reviews for its shows. As one of the most successful rap metal acts of all time, it appears that Linkin Park returned just in time for a revival of the genre.

The single The Emptiness Machine reached number-one on both the Billboard Alternative and Mainstream Rock Airplay charts and debuted at number-four on the U.K. Singles Chart. That was the group’s highest U.K. chart position in its career. The song also went number-one in Germany for over two months.
