Friends of Britney Spears are reportedly concerned about the pop star after video clips recently shared to social media appear to show pet poop on her home’s floor.
The report also suggests the Toxic singer is living in a “messy” home.
A source told Britain’s Daily Mail that Spears is “having an episode right now, and we are going to see her battle through it the way she has for years.
“Those close to her have seen this over and over again, and though it is monitored, they aren’t going to make any type of intervention.”
A family member said they were “worried” about Spears and that her friends and relatives are “terrified for her future.”
“Her house is a mess,” they said. “She doesn’t clean up after the dogs, she doesn’t have someone there cleaning every day, and she just isn’t functioning like an adult would function.”
In an Aug. 18 video, Spears films herself singing while several items can be seen on the floor as her dog walks by in the background.
“Messing around with lighting and cleaning my house like no tomorrow,” she captioned the video.
This week, Spears posted racy videos of herself dancing inside what appears to be a public bathroom following a horrible dinner date and at her Thousand Oaks, Calif., estate.
While the pop princess doesn’t allow commenting on her Instagram posts, fans on social platform X have posted comments lamenting her life choices.
“Every time I see a clip of Britney Spears I get sad, man,” one person wrote Tuesday. “If you would’ve told any of us MTV babies that this would be her in 2025 we would’ve laughed at you.”
Another thought she would be the greatest pop star ever.
“I will never get over how this became Britney Spears,” they wrote in response to the video of her dancing in the bathroom.
