Morgan Wallen: The various ways strong-headed country superstar Morgan Wallen has avoided cancellation for his various transgressions is for sure part of his appeal and he knows it, down to naming his latest album I’m the Problem — where playing the title track he infamously walked off the stage during that live SNL performance.

Temporal: This must-see duo abstract show pairs the compelling works of sculptor Catherine Burgess with the photographic experiments of artist Alison Rossiter, who uses expired photo paper to create a symbolic conversation through time. As with Burgess’ mesmerizing yet stoic objects, there’s a palpable relationship with situational space, where the intentional negative around the artworks brings on a sort of insistence of absence and presence.

Though smaller in scale, they really are objects you can sit with and get lost inside of, like Sol Lewitt’s constructions, or any decent Zen garden.

A conversation with the artists and Marie Lannoo — also in the gallery with Katie Ohe in their sculptural show Shift — happens 6 p.m. Friday, $20 for non-members, the members-only opening happening 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday.

Wet Paint Wrap Party: The Steadies, muralist-DJ Busyrawk and DJ SPORA all come together Saturday night to contemplate and bust a move in celebration of this year’s Edmonton Mural Festival, which added another flock of new wall art to our streets over the past couple of months, including on the Fringe Arts Barns, over in the French Quarter and on the side of the Starlite complex.

Besides the dancing and reflection, whiskey tasting and the MinBid auction are happening, so don’t miss this chance to immerse yourself.

Follow That Bird (1985): Worth it just to see the amazing balloon Big Bird poster Metro came up with, this was Sesame Street’s less successful yet still very charming version of The Muppet Movie, with some pretty amazing cameos, including SCTV stars John Candy, Dave Thomas and Joe Flaherty.
