The two come together in a limited-time afternoon dining event at Holts Cafe. Inspired by fan-favourite fragrance brand Byredo’s Alto Astral Eau de Parfum, the afternoon tea service is said to be Brazilian inspired: The fragrance name comes from a Brazilian-Portuguese expression of joy and optimism.
In addition to offering an introduction to the new fragrance — which has notes of coconut, aldehyde, incense and musk, among others — the afternoon tea includes a sweet and savoury selection of treats. The service features a choice of fine teas, along with a three-tier tower of scones, mini sandwiches and more.
The Byredo x Holts Cafe Alto Astral Afternoon Tea is available by reservation at the Holts Cafe in Vancouver and Bloor Street in Toronto, as well as Cafe Holt at Ogilvy in Montreal through Sept. 14.
A gourmand scent that is designed to leave “a trail of positive energy in its wake,” Byredo’s Alto Astral Eau de Parfum is also available for purchase at Holt Renfrew for $310 for 50 mL or $435 for 100 mL.
