Meet the two BC teams in the finale of The Amazing Race Canada

Finale of 11th season of hit competition series will hand out $250,000 to winners on Sept. 16

The final four for Season 11 of The Amazing Race Canada has been set and two teams from B.C. are among those in the running when the competition TV series wraps Sept. 16 on CTV at 9 p.m.

Vancouver pals Jonathan Braun and Jesse Harink will race and Prince George siblings Grace Dove and Joe Syme are also battling for the grand prize that includes a $250,000 cash payout, a trip around the world, and two 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV SS vehicles.

If they win Harink, who works in human resources, said in his profile that he will be “responsible,” and put money into RRSP, TFSA, FHSA accounts. He also plans to visit family in Alberta and take his mom to see Cher live. Braun, a lawyer, wants to take his parents on a trip and then put some money toward purchasing an apartment.

Dove a well-known actor (The Revenant, Bones of Crows and Monkey Beach) plans on using her share of the prize money to finish her pilot’s license while her brother – who is a diamond driller – said in his profile that he will “buy a haunted amusement park.”

The other two teams in the final are: Edmonton husband and wife Blair and Skylene Gladue and Toronto brothers EB and Blake Burnett.

According to a statement from the show the finale has the teams heading to Collingwood, Ont. for a “heart pounding showdown, where the ultimate test of agility, skill and teamwork awaits.” For the first time in franchise history there will be a Double Roadblock, where racers must split up and “push their limits like never before.”

During the 11th season the show visited five provinces and one territory during ten legs. Filming took place between April 22 and May 16 of this year.

CTV just announced that The Amazing Race Canada, hosted by Olympic gold medallist Jon Montgomery, will have a season 12 in 2026, with casting details to be announced soon.
