A well-fitting bra is an important foundation piece.
Whether your preference is underwire or wire-free, full coverage or demi, there’s a supportive bra style to suit every cup size.
While we love a tried-and-true classic from a brand like Wonderbra (founded in Canada, but now owned by Hanes), we’re leaning in to the idea of adding other Canadian-designed bra options into our lingerie drawers.
From comfortable wrap styles to moulded-foam cups, here are five stylish and supportive bras from Canadian brands to try on for size:

For large busts: Understance Cooling FlexWire Unpadded Full Coverage Bra
The bra styles on offer from the Vancouver-headquartered brand Understance tick a lot of boxes. An example of this, this Cooling FlexWire Unpadded Full Coverage Bra features thoughtful design elements such as perforated material for added air flow and an internal sling in the cups to create separation between the breast and the torso. Add in the fact that this bra style was specifically designed with large cup sizes in mind (I through N, with band sizes 30-48 available) and it’s pretty much perfect.

For subtle shaping: La Vie en Rose Lightly Lined Contour Bra
La Vie en Rose recently launched a new bra style that features lightly lined contouring cups. Available in sizes 34B to 38DD, the everyday essential is lightweight yet supportive and features full-coverage cups that “hug and sculpt” the bust.

For new moms: Knix Revolution Nursing Bra
Toronto-headquartered brand Knix offers a full suite of specialty bras, ranging from sports and wire-free to surgical recovery and nursing styles. This sleek-and-simple style, called the Revolution Nursing Bra, features a supportive, adjustable fit, a super smooth fabric and easy open clips for nursing needs.

For wire-free fans: Free Label Dani Bra
A perfect pick for those who prefer a wire-free style, the Dani Bra from the locally designed and manufactured brand Free Label features a deep-cup fit for support and coverage. The sleek style, which is available in a selection of shades, is designed with large cup sizes in — DD to K — and can also be used during nursing, too.

For a custom fit: Rubies Bras Viva Lace Wirefree Bra
A custom-fit bra offers a fit that is perfected to suit your unique body. Canadian brand Rubies Bras offers online and in-person fittings (in Edmonton and Toronto), to ensure your personalized bra is a perfect fit.
